\nJana Pr\u00e1\u0161ilov\u00e1, Lenka Bl\u00e1hov\u00e1 and Karol\u00edna K\u0159enkov\u00e1 attended the international conference 69. zjazd chemikov. The conference was held at the Bellevue Hotel in the Star\u00fd Smokovec in the High Tatras. The conference included 9 sections and Shimadzu Prize competition, which were full of information and new insights. Jana Pra\u0161ilov\u00e1 had a lecture with title: Food by Chemist’s View – a course for students of the Third Age University in the Teaching and History of Chemistry section. Karol\u00edna K\u0159enkov\u00e1 had a poster with title Introduction of RNA isolation methodology from CD14+ monomolecular cells and its reverse transcription and PCR amplification in the analytical chemistry section. Lenka Bl\u00e1hov\u00e1 had a poster titled Interaction of Heavy Metal with Slags in the Inorganic chemistry section.<\/p>\n

From 11 to 15 September 2017, Star\u00fd Smokovec in the High Tatras became the place with the largest concentration of chemists in Slovakia. Department of Chemistry of Faculty of Science of University of Ostrava contributed three molecules to the solution of chemists.
