From 11 to 15 September 2017, Starý Smokovec in the High Tatras became the place with the largest concentration of chemists in Slovakia. Department of Chemistry of Faculty of Science of University of Ostrava contributed three molecules to the solution of chemists. The Chemical Congress at Grand Hotel Bellevue was attended by Jana Prášilová, Lenka Bláhová and Karolína Křenková.
Jana Prášilová, Lenka Bláhová and Karolína Křenková attended the international conference 69. zjazd chemikov. The conference was held at the Bellevue Hotel in the Starý Smokovec in the High Tatras. The conference included 9 sections and Shimadzu Prize competition, which were full of information and new insights. Jana Prašilová had a lecture with title: Food by Chemist’s View – a course for students of the Third Age University in the Teaching and History of Chemistry section. Karolína Křenková had a poster with title Introduction of RNA isolation methodology from CD14+ monomolecular cells and its reverse transcription and PCR amplification in the analytical chemistry section. Lenka Bláhová had a poster titled Interaction of Heavy Metal with Slags in the Inorganic chemistry section.
