Three successful students of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava, who received awards at the Student Research Conference Student Research Conference 2017, were interviewed by the Czech Radio’s editor, Dagmar Misařová.

Ph. D. student Marta Bukáčková and doc. RNDr. Roman Maršálek, Ph.D. took part at the 7th International Colloids Conference in Sitges (near Barcelona, Spain) from 18 to 21 June 2017.

Ph.D. Student Marta Bukáčková attended three-month internship at the Polish Academy of Sciences of Instytut Katalizy and Fizykochemii Powierzchni at Professor Zbigniew Adamczyk (27 February – 2 June 2017).

To show the natural sciences as beautiful, mysterious and also entertaining is every year goal of the popularization event Chemistry and other natural sciences at the Silesian Ostrava Castle. This 11th year took place on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

PhD student Lenka Bláhová attended three-month internship at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (Slovak Academy of Sciences) at doctor Jana Madejová (1 March – 31 May 2017).

PhD student Karolína Křenková attended three-month internship at the Slovak Academy of Sciences at doctor Daniela Gašperíková (6 March – 6 June 2017).

Members of Department of Chemistry visited IS2M (Université Haute-Alsace, Mulhouse, France).

Erasmus+ cooperation with the University of Zaragoza.

At the Department of Chemistry a didactic conference on Actual Aspects of Pregradual Training and Postgraduate Education of Chemistry Teachers took place (22. – 24. 5. 2017).

On 12. 5. 2017 the XXI. Student Research Conference took place at the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava.
